Last year, YouTube replaced the Trending section with Explore option in their app and moved the Trending section along with other video topics under Explore tab. Now, recently they even replaced the Explore tab with their version of TikTok called YouTube Shorts and moved the Explore tab to the top.
After this decision, they received a lot of backlash and negative feedback from users. But, YouTube kept the attitude of a grumpy boss and never reverted the changes on the platform.
Today, I noticed that YouTube changed the UI of topic tiles under Explore tab. They also introduced new tiles to the Explore section of the YouTube app. It seems like YouTube is currently testing this update with a limited number of users. These new YouTube video topic tiles in Explore section look good to me, tell me about your opinion in comments.
Here’s a glimpse into the redesigned look of new tiles in the YouTube Explore section:
Previously, they introduced many UI Updates like hiding dislikes and changing the description section of the video. Recently, YouTube started showing a snippet of description instead of showing the full description. Now, you need to click on Read more to see the full description of the video.
