YouTube keeps experimenting with new features and UI design by shipping these features to a limited number of users. They recently expanded their YouTube shorts to all users across the United States.
Today, when I searched to watch some videos on YouTube, I found out that YouTube was showing results from Google Search in between the videos. In this integrated Google Search section in YouTube search, you’ll see the top 3-5 results from Google Search.
It was previously rolled out for iOS devices in March 2020. Now, they started testing this feature with Android app users. However, user response over this feature is not so good.
After initial testing, a wider rollout is expected to happen very soon. However, as per the response users are given, making it to roll out for everyone seems pretty hard.
Previously, YouTube decided to add an option in the YouTube studio to hide dislikes in videos, which received a lot of backlash from users, as hiding likes doesn’t help us to make a decision about the authenticity of a video.
We will keep you updated about upcoming changes to the YouTube UI or features, so stay tuned. Thanks for reading.
