Twitter pauses Ads in Ukraine and Russia for good

We all are aware of current situations in Ukraine and Russia. To improve the availablity of public safety information in these tough times, Twitter took a good step.

Twitter announced that they are temporarily pausing ads on their platform for users in Ukraine and Russia. They are doing so to make the public safety information gets elevated and users don’t get distracted by advertisements.

Twitter also paused the Recommended tweets in Russia and Ukraine. Twitter said, users will only see tweets from people they follow.

For people using Twitter in Ukraine and Russia, we also paused some Tweet recommendations from people you don’t follow on Home Timeline to reduce the spread of abusive content.
