Redmi K20 received March Android Security Patch

Xiaomi recently released MIUI 12 for Mi 10S smartphone that shipped the Android 12 stable update. After this update Xiaomi moved on to Redmi series and released the March Android Security Patch to Redmi K20 edition.

Redmi K20 is the same device named as Xiaomi Mi 9T for the users of European Union. Now, it has finally started getting the March updated stable Android security patch.

Redmi K20 receiving this new update with the firmware version of V12.0.8.0.QFJINXM. The device codename for Redmi K20 edition is ‘davinciin’. The V12.0.8.0.QFJINXM update for Redmi K20 is of 2.8GB.

How to Install this update in Redmi K20?

To install this update in Redmi K20, follow these steps:

Step 1: Open Redmi K20 System settings

You need to open Redmi K20 system settings. You can do so by opening web drawer and finding the settings icon. Click on the settings option to open system settings. Another method is to open notification drawer and then click on Settings icon in action center to open System settings.

Step 2: Go to Additional Settings

In system settings find the Additional setting option and click it to open Additional Settings section. You can also search for it in the top search bar in settings.

Step 3: Go to Software Update

In Additional Settings you’ll get an option called Software Update. Click on the option to open Software update.

Step 4: Click on Check for Updates button

Step 5: Download and Install Software Update

You need to Download the update and after downloading the update you need to install the software update. It will start installing the update and reboot the phone automatically
