Facebook added Olympics tab in the app menu to keep you updated about the latest news from Olympics. Olympics tab features an icon of running sportsman.

Olympics tab is basically the #Olympic section that appears on searching in the search bar of Facebook app. The Olympics tab in Facebook app shows posts from officially verified pages as well as individual users. It comes with a Highlights section that shows verified news from verified publishers and  pages related to Olympics.

I would say it’s a good effort from Facebook to simplify this things. Now, people can open Olympics tab and get news  directly instead of searching #Olympics and mess up with search result.
