How to disable Voice Search button in Chrome for Android

Voice search in Chrome for Android is a pretty useful feature for users who want to or know to type a lot in smartphones. It is the most used thing in the Chrome for Android by kids. Kids have little to no knowledge about typing words so they just hit mic button and start speaking what they want.

However, not everyone is a fan of Voice Search in chrome. Some people find it weird or distracting. So, here I am sharing the step-by-step tutorial to disable Voice search in Google Chrome for Android.

How to disable Voice Search button in Chrome for Android

To disable Voice search button in Chrome for Android, follow these steps:

Step 1: Open Chrome Flags

In Chrome for Android, you need to open Chrome Experiments Lab or Chrome flags, to disable Voice search button in Chrome for Android. You can open Chrome flags by typing chrome://flags in address bar and hit enter.

Step 2: Search “Voice button in top toolbar” flag

Now, search for “Voice button in top toolbar flag in Chrome flags page. You can also access this flag by clicking here.

Step 3: Disable “Voice button in top toolbar’ flag

After finding the “Voice button in top toolbar” chrome flag, you need to disable the flag by choosing the Disable option from drop down menu.

Step 4: Relaunch the Chrome for Android browser

After disabling the “Voice Search” button from top you need to Relaunch the Chrome browser.

Google recently added image search with lens that shows the lens icon beside Voice Search icon in the top of header, you can also disable the Google Lens icon from address top by disabling its flag. It will remove the Google lens icon from the address bar and also the option “Search with Lens” from Chrome context menu.
