If your device name is in this list, you’ll most probably won’t get the new ColorOS 12 update.
ColorOS 12 Release Date
ColorOS 12 is expected to launch as a beta and stable update very soon. Devices like Oppo Find X3 Pro have already signed up for Google’s developer preview 3 programs to test Android 12. These Oppo devices will most probably receive the ColorOS 12 update with Android 12 beta. ColorOS 12 will most probably go live in September 2021.

May 12, 2021: Oppo launched Android 12 Beta 1 for Oppo Find X3 Pro, a flagship smartphone from Oppo. It was one of the first devices that received Android 12 Beta joining Xiaomi and Asus.
June 26, 2021: Digital Chat Station, a reliable leaker revealed that Oppo began Internal testing. Oppo decided to code name this project as “fluorite”. Digital Chat Station post on Weibo.
June 29, 2021: ColorOS 12 screenshots were leaked online and spreading over social media platforms and forums like Twitter and Reddit. We’ve covered and posted the leaked screenshots in an article, have a look.
June 30, 2021: Digital Chat Station revealed in a Weibo post that ColorOS 12 may have some components from HydrogenOS. He also stated that ColorOS 12 is a big change to the UI of Oppo phones. (Read more)
ColorOS is an Android-based mobile operating system created by OPPO Electronics(OPPO Mobiles). Realme phones were the first to get ColorOS but later on, switched to Realme UI in 2020.
ColorOS first built upon Android Jellybean in 2013, around 7 years ago. Currently, people are using ColorOS 11 and about to get ColorOS 12 based on Android 12.
